Women’s Minis’tree

Ladies Bible Study Begins August 3

Ladies,

If you’ve started Bible studies in the past but never finished them…this study might be for you!

If you’ve never done a Priscilla Shirer study or if you’ve done one in the past…this study might be for you!

If you’re saying to yourself “I don’t have time to do the ‘homework’ that comes with these lessons…this study might be for you!

If you’re a stay-at-home mom, a work-outside-the-home mom, a retired but busy lady, or none of the above…this study might be for you!

Thursdays beginning August 3rd
Led by Ann Baltzell
► 6 – 7:30 p.m.
► Room 348, BA Campus

“Armor of God” by Priscilla Shirer – All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.

We’re going to take our time with this study. There will be no homework – we’ll do everything together in class. Please purchase your book prior to August 3. The book costs approximately $15 and is available at Lifeway, Mardel, and Amazon.

Ridge Groups

What is a Ridge Group?

Ridge Groups are small groups (typically 10—12 people) designed to encourage close relationships and connection with others on a deeper level through Bible study, service together, personal encouragement and support for each other through life’s storms.

Why are small groups important?

God wired us for relationships. We grow spiritually with other people in ways that we will never grow on our own.  Christian maturity best takes place in the context of relationships and true life-sharing can only happen in a smaller circle of community.

When do Ridge Groups meet?

Groups meet several times a month on various days of the week and in various locations throughout the community. Each group chooses their own meeting day, time and location. We will assist you in finding a group that is meeting at a time and location that is best for you.

What about childcare?

We encourage each group to determine what best meets the needs of their group. Each Ridge Group handles their own childcare.

How do I join a Ridge Group?

If you would like help getting connected with a Ridge Group that is right for you, please call the church office, 918-254-0621, or complete this form. For more info, contact the following:

Protecting Your Family from Pornography

Kyle Rodell, Student Minister, recently presented the sermon Entangled – providing some staggering statistics on how pornography is a sin that can so easily “entangle” and threaten our families. Listed below are some practical tools and resources available to help keep pornography out of your home as well providing a way to see what activity is happening on your computer. This information is also available at the Welcome Center of each campus.

Foster Care – The 111 Project

On January 1, 2012 there were 8308 children who, through no fault of their own, were in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS). The families of these children are not able to care for them due to incarceration, extreme poverty, physical abuse, drug abuse, neglect or abandonment. The 111 Project is a campaign to recruit foster families from Oklahoma churches to meet this need. The purpose is to leave no Oklahoma child without a family. Contact the church office for more information about Foster Care applications and other ways that you can be involved.
