Our Mission

Helping others follow Jesus.

Our Strategy

REACH – The directive from Jesus is not to wait on people to come to us but to go to them.

RAISE UP – The church is to be an equipping center to train up disciples who in turn train up disciples.

RELEASE – The end goal is not to gather followers but to ultimately release them into the world.

Our Values

The Bible is for everyone.
We rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal truth from God’s Word—not a teacher. Spiritual growth takes place when studying God’s Word becomes a private discipline.

Every member is a missionary.
We encourage the rapid release of ordinary disciples into the world.

Spiritual growth happens in community.
Christianity is best lived out in the context of relationships.

The Great Commission is global in scale.
So must our efforts as a church.

Family matters.
Family is one of the foundational institutions God uses to accomplish His mission.

The next generation is worth our sacrifice.
Every generation is significant but we will surrender our time, money, and preferences for children and students.

What We Believe

We are an independent body of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible. Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant (accurate) Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit; three persons, yet one God. Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-2; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:2

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. We further believe that Christ was crucified, died, and rose on the third day. Matthew 1:18-19; Acts 2:23-24; 1 Corinthians 15:20-26

We believe that all people are created in the image of God. Genesis 1:26

We believe that all people sin which separates them from God and consequently, they all need salvation. Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

We believe that God made the way for all people to have eternal life (salvation) through His son Jesus Christ. We further believe that the divinity of Jesus Christ is the fundamental truth of Christianity (our faith) and that Jesus is the only way for anyone to be with God in Heaven. John 3:16; John 14:6

We believe that:

In response to God’s gift of grace to us:

We believe that, in salvation, followers of Jesus are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit:

We believe that we have been charged by Jesus Christ with a Great Commission to carry the Good News of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 13:10

We believe in open Communion and make it available to all believers on a weekly basis. Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25

We believe in the unity of believers based on the authority of Christ and God’s Holy Scriptures. Ephesians 4:3-6,11-13

We believe that Jesus will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-1

What We Practice

Beliefs are not worth much unless they are translated into actions. Based on what the Bible teaches, we believe that each and every person is a unique child of God. We further believe that we can make a difference in the life of our church by teaching and discipling believers to be different in the following areas of life.

Personal Study

We believe that fully developed Christians do not just “happen.” They develop through knowledge of God’s word and a personal relationship with God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ.

Family Teaching

We believe that Christian parents raise Christian children and special efforts must be made to teach God’s principles about family living.

Sharing of Christ through Friendship

We believe that the excitement of living for Jesus Christ is enhanced through friends who share a life in Christ.

Touching Our Community

We believe that we have the joy of being God’s representatives to touch the lives of the non-churched. We seek to encourage and equip believers in making disciples from among our family, friends, and business acquaintances.

Reaching Our World

We believe that we have been called to make a difference throughout the world by our church’s active involvement in world mission service and support.

Membership

What does it mean to be a member of Cedar Ridge Christian Church?

A member of CRCC must be a disciple of Jesus Christ. A disciple is a learner, a follower. In other words, a person committed to learning all he or she can about Jesus and one who is ready and willing to obey him. That is how the Bible defines a Christian.

Jesus expects his followers to grow in knowledge, in obedience, and grow in service. We are all dependent on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. We are dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit. The church is Jesus’ idea; he expects us to live out our discipleship connected to his church.

The Holy Spirit gives each Christian abilities for service to God. The Bible calls them gifts. Jesus has directed his people to perform services for other disciples and for those outside of Christ. As a member of CRCC, we ask you to strive to find your gifts and use them to serve. We want to work together to be Christ’s body on earth.

Christ’s church is a spiritual and emotional home for his people. CRCC wants to grow into such a home for you and all who would be a part of the church.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you; and surely I will be with you always to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:18-20
