RIDGE Student Ministry exists to help others follow Jesus. We do this by meeting together on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. We offer programming for Middle School (6th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade). VolunTour – February 20 (A First Look When Considering Serving in Next Gen Ministries)

Interested in getting connected through serving in one of our Next Gen Ministry areas? Then VolunTour is for you!

VolunTour is designed to give you a snapshot of our Next Gen Ministries (Early Childhood, Elementary, and Student Ministry) by providing an overview of how these ministries operate. The tour allows you to see these ministry environments in action. And you can enjoy some donuts and juice in the process. By attending the VolunTour you are not committing to serving…you are simply checking out these ministries to see if it’s a good fit for you and us.

Tours will be offered approximately every three months. Each tour will begin at 10:30 a.m. in room 136 in the Ridge Kids Elementary building. Upcoming VolunTour dates include:

Ridge Student Ministry “MDWK” – Wednesdays at 6 p.m.

MDWK (6th-12th Grade)

MDWK is our new Student Ministry Wednesday Night Programming for 6th-12th Grade students from 6:00-7:30.  MDWK will consist of intentional hangout time with some free snacks and the snack bar being open for $1 items; it will also include games, occasional worship, 15-minute message, and small group discussion.

Once a month at the end of the month we will also have MDWK+ MDWK+ will last 45-minutes to 1-hr after MDWK ends where we will plan something fun for kids to be intentional to invite their friends to. (MDWK+ Dates will be: January 26, February 23, March 30, and April 27.)

RSM Coweta – CIY MOVE 22 (June 26 – July 2, 2022)

**REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 16, 2022**

CIY “MOVE” is a 5-day high school event held all over the country designed to amplify the call of Christ on students’ lives to become kingdom workers.

Cedar Ridge Coweta High School students (including those entering 9th grade and seniors who have just graduated) will be attending the MOVE Conference at Hope College in Holland, Michigan from June 26 – July 2. Registration opens on July 16. Prices will start at $295 and will increase to $400 by the event so register early to save. A $75 non-refundable but transferable deposit is due upon registration.

Registration costs are as follows…

  • $295 if registered between January 16 and March 5 (Save $105)
    **Those who register by March 5th will receive a prize AND will be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card to spend at MOVE!**
  • $350 if registered between March 6 and June 18 (Save $50)
  • $400 if registered June 19 or later (No savings)

CIY “MIX” is a 4-day middle school event held all over the country designed to amplify the call of Christ on students’ lives to become kingdom workers. Cedar Ridge Coweta Middle School students (those entering 6th grade to those entering 8th grade) will be attending the MIX Conference at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas from July 25-July28.

Registration opens January 16th. Prices will start at $250 and will increase to $350 by the event so sign up early to save! A $75 non-refundable but transferable deposit is due upon registration.

Registration costs are as follows…

  • $250 if registered between January 16 and March 5 (Save $100)

The WKND (BA Campus) – February 25-26

The WKND is an event for Middle School students (grades 6-8) that will take place with other area youth groups on February 25 & 26. There will be incredible worship and engaging gospel messages throughout the weekend. There will also be late night activities, small group time, and other chances to build relationships and grow in our faith.

BA Campus Details:

TIMELINE:

  • Friday, February 25
    Meet at The Ridge, BA Campus, at 6:00 p.m.
    ► Return to the Ridge at 10:45/11:00 p.m.
    Students will sleep at home Friday night and return to The Ridge the next morning.
  • Saturday, February 26
    ► Meet at The Ridge at 9:00 a.m.
    ► Return to the BA Campus at 6:00 p.m.

COST:

  • $45 if registered by January 22nd
    **A $20 deposit is due upon registration**
  • $55 after January 22
  • $65 after February 18
